I don't know if I would classify "Somebody to Love" as powerpop, but this is your blog so you can say what you want. :)

Here are 5 off the top of my head:

"Red Dragon Tattoo," Fountains of Wayne
"Is That Love," Squeeze
"Alex Chilton," The Replacements
"A Whole Lot Better," Brendan Benson
"Glad Girls," Guided By Voices

I would have been over sooner but when I tried accessing your blog at work, the page froze. :-(

Anyway, good call on choosing Mickey! Although the original by the group Racey is good, Toni's version trumps theirs.

By the way, we share one song in common on our lists. I am sure you know which one. :-)
