Little Ditty Bout Jack and Diane...

I must say my girls today are looking fabulous! Amber is a flapper and Jzill is like a rock star vampire/thing. I went with a 50's girl. I even have a "going steady" ring necklace.

Of course, we were THE only three that dressed up for the occasion. I can't speak for my bitches but I am okay with this. I am quite used to making an ass of myself so I just feel all comfy cozy.

Here are few pics...I will post more when I get them off of my camera.

Anywhooo..the point of this post is to not discuss Halloween but to discuss a strange phenomenon that has been swiffing the state of Maryland. I don't know about other states so I am relying on everyone else to help me out here.

Why does it always appear that this:

equals a female driver with a hair do like this:

Seriously, like 97% of Mustangs I see are driven by women rocking the 80's "feathered" style, looking like she just stepped out of a John Cougar Mellancamp video.

So tell me? Thoughts?

Cowwfee Tawwk

Last night after pumpkin picking and coffee with my RADICAL Jzill..I went home to whip up a 10 inch for the bottom tier of a Halloween cake for my party. Hubs asked if I would make a quick Halloween cake for one of his classes tomorrow. HA....Can I just whip that up??? Yeah. Two hours later I give you this:

Music Memoirs, Halloween Edition!

Tuesday Tunes: Week 106
Play it HERE! You know you want to!

Happy Halloween my music lovin' people!~What is the creepiest music video you've ever watched?

To take this on the figurative sense: Creepiest music videos:

Pink-Fun House. There is a line in that song that goes a little something like this: "this used to be a fun house. Now it's filled with evil clowns" Not a big deal right? Pretty clever lyrics. The creepy part is that there are actual evil clowns popping about playing guitars! Wowza..Their eyes light up too. I can't deal with that.

Shakira-She Wolf-The whole fake wwaaahooooo howl she does and that bizarre nude/flesh coloured leotard she rocks in this video. Gross.

ANYTHING by Regina Spektor-I just don't get her whole "thing". She's a freakin' creep. Totally. Her latest video called Laughing With is Creep Central. She tries to come off profound and deep and in the end the story she never finishes, paired with a weirdo video of dismembered body parts just makes the song fail in every way possible. Seriously, Regina Spektor..if you like her, good on ya, but for me: She makes me want to vomit and then go swimming in it. Bygones.

Okay Christopher (or as I say it: "Chris-TA-FA"),
What's the deal gagoots?? (it's Italian. Look it up)
Christafa is so amazing and adorable...seriously, I could just eat him right up.
He has no schooling at all, doesn't know basic sewing terms and still manages to whip up the most amazing dresses. Dresses that I dream of wearing. Like so:

Seriously, I would die to wear this dress:

This is made of NEWSPAPER, people!!! Newspaper!

I love, love, love this dress.

For the past several weeks poor, adorable Christafa has been in the bottom three! I don't know whats happening! I think I may love him therefore, he very well, can NOT go home now!

I have to obey the immortal words of Tammy Wynette and "Stand by my Man". Take a look at what I'm standing by though, as of late:

This one wasn't horribly awful, as Heidi described it..

In my man's defense, I will say this outfit pictured above was designed for Christina Aguilera. The jacket-which they did not photograph-the model is holding it-was so freaking adorable. This dirty whore look underneath, I thought WAS fitting for X-tina. She's dirrty remember?
The judges were seriously baffled as to why Christafa would make such a dirty whore look for Mrs. Aguilera?? Really judges?? Really?

Bob LoBlaw Law Blog...

Time for some Old Fashioned Bitching:

Number One/A:
It's official.
Yankees vs. Phillies.
Baby jesus, who do I root for????!! I normally say, any team that plays against the Yanks, but this one stings a bit. Lil bit. I may just pretend I am unaware that the World Series is going on.

Number Two/B:
Got held up at a light today because a lady in a SUV was busy popping her pimples in the side view mirror. Hmm...Pretty lady...Sure to wins you a hubband that way..

Number Three/C:
Working on a big project for a friend. I have found that all of the pictures I need to complete this project were conveniently located on my old PC. Which blew up. Before you ask, NO...No, I did not back up. Get over it! Not everyone backs up. People talk about backing up..but who really backs up??

Number Four/D:
Grrr to my buddy who called me Saturday. He wanted to get pizza and a movie (ps, by the way, I had no interest in watching). So I rent the film (even though I'm not into it) get pizza for two and the jerk never calls. Guess he decided on other plans.

Number Five/E:
Everyday I come into work, go to my desk and find a pile of used staples everywhere. All over my desk, in my keyboard, on my chair. I have to share my scanner with another department and they always leave a mess and screw with the settings. I may start collecting said staples and when I get a whole cup full go scatter them on their desk.

Deep breath...I think I feel better now.
On the up and up: Got my Jim tickets Saturday in the post. Still looking for hotels.

Halloween Meme!

Sunday Stealing: The Halloween Meme

1. What is your favorite written work of horror fiction?
Pet Semetary by Stephen King. I have read this about four times and it always makes me leave the light on.

2. What is your favorite work of science fiction/fantasy?
Not a big fan of sci-fi/fantasy. I guess I could say Twilight. If that fits.

3. Who is your favorite monster? Edward Cullen

4. What is your favorite Horror movie? Pet Semetary. My brudder and I still, to this day, fast forward through the creepy sister with spinal meningitis part. I still leave the light on.
This or The Exorcist.

5. What horror movie gives you the most chills? Pet Semetary or The Strangers. I think because this movie isn't about monsters or dead people coming back from the grave. It's about regular people who are just sick and demented and like to play games. Creepy, creepy.

6. What character from any horror film would you most like to play?
Bella Swan :) ha ha

7. Freddy or Jason? Freddy was so much more B.A. than Jason.

8. What is your favorite Halloween treat?
Reese's Cups. Or those Carmel apple lollipops. Anything out of the Wonka pack.

9. Ghosts or goblins?

10. Friendly-faced jack-o'-lantern or scary one?

11. What is your scariest encounter with the paranormal?
Probably my time as a paranormal investigator with Paranormal Research Society of Southern Maryland. We did some really creepy work at Sam Mudd house and Point Lookout Lighthouse. Got a lot of creepy EVP's and some weird pictures out of the mix. Heard some things that made me second guess things.

12. Do you believe in ghosts? Why or why not? I honestly don't know. After working at PRS I would say yes. I do.

13. Would you rather be a zombie, alien, or psycho? Can I vote D. None of the Above??

14. Favorite Halloween costume? I say this every year, but I think this year is my absolute favorite. I have always been in love with Alice in Wonderland, since I was very small. I have always wanted to be her for Halloween but never took the time to put together a decent costume. This year I have the most perfect costume and props and my brudder will be playing the part of my White Rabbit. Perfect!

15. Best thing about Halloween? Dressing up, hanging out with family and friends that has become tradition over many years, just having a good time! Halloween is my christmas.

16. Person in your family who most likes Halloween (not counting yourself)? Probably my brudder

17. Are you superstitious? No, I actually didn't care if I got married on Friday the 13th. I think most of that stuff is old wives tales.

18. Share an unusual Halloween story. I don't' really have any unusual Halloween stories. It's mostly fun, music, food, games and a movie. Good fun.

19. What did you do for Halloween as a kid? Get dressed up and go trick or treating with my cousins. Later when we moved we went with a bunch of neighbors. Always a good time.

20. What's the best Halloween party that you've attended? Mine!! Every year it gets better and this year I have a lot planned :)

"..'Is There Something Wrong?' She Says...'Well Of Course There Is'..."

Two funny Music related stories from this week.

Number One/A:
I am single handedly bringing Sisqo's the Thong Song back to Number ONE on the Billboard charts. Let me explain how:

Last year or so my Hubs decided to download the infamous Thong Song and sneak it on my Fourth of July party play list. Went over well with Grandma in the end. Since then we often rock out to Mr. Sisqo. I mean, really, who doesn't??

Well Tuesday night we randomly starting singing the Thong Song while I was working on some cupcakes for a friend. The following night, watching Glee, guess what song they performed??
The freakin' Thong Song!!
So since Wednesday evening this song has been embedded in my brain. Yesterday morning at work I would randomly sing: Babbbbyyy, that thong tha thong thong thong...

By noon hour four employees were singing along. I then sent random text messages with lyrics in them. By three pm. I have about half of my office going.

This morning I was informed by several of the employees that they took the song home, still stuck in their heads, and spread the disease there.

Number Two/B:
Went out to dinner with Jzill and Amby last week to the local 50's diner. While eating and chatting a very loud, obnoxious girl was sat across the room for us. Keep in mind, this is a diner, with 50's music screaming from a juke box. I could still hear her conversations. Not a big deal but the combo of her voice and wits was killa! Pointless and blankless I like to call that one. Anyway, I got to hear this redick story that I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow to. It involved Eddie Vedder, so you know immediately I had to perk up...yummy topic..

This girl was explaining to an older lady at her table that her new boyfriend at college is called Jeremy. Jeremy liked to play the song Jeremy by Pearl Jam over and over on repeat while in his dorm, on full know...since that's his name (*insert ridiculous cackle laugh here*) and it empowers him....

Ummm.....that song is about a crazy kid, that goes every kind of crazy and shoots up his school and himself one day. Wow...might want to watch that one Pretty :)

*title lyrics by Eddie Vedder-Alive

Reasons I Love, Love, Love Sue Sylvester...

"If you don't stop I will go to the animal shelter adopt a cute kitty cat, gave you that cute kitty cat, make you fall in love with it and then steal into the night into your home and punch you in the face!"

"There's not much of a difference between a stadium full of cheering fans and an angry crowd screaming abuse at you. They're both just making a lot of noise. How you take it is up to you. Convince yourself they're cheering for you. You do that, and some day, they will. And that's how Sue Cs it."

"You're right, Will. I have been trying to destroy your club with a conviction I can only call "religious."

" I like minorities so much, I'm thinking of moving to California to become one."

"I don't trust a man with curly hair. I can't help but picture little birds laying sulfurous eggs in there, and it disgusts me."

"I always thought the desire to procreate showed deep personal weakness."

[to Emma] "Ellen, that blouse is just insane."

"Caning works! And I think it's about time we did a little more of it right here... yes, we cane!"

"Unless you want to lose your man to a mentally ill ginger pygmy with eyes like a bush baby."

Apart from this: Just heard that Madonna has given the okay for Glee to use her songs and they have an all Madonna episode in the works. Also, rumored to be in talks of a guest apearance: Adam Lambert!

"...Can I Buy You A Drank?"

Or at least I do.

It's sick.

In the National League Championship the freakin' Phillies are winning. I think the team that takes second place for "The Team that I Most Loathe" would have to be the Phillies.

To shed some light on this dark harbor, tonight is Glee and Roasted Beast is on the menu.
Today also marks my official return to exercise. Mild exercise, but regardless, I always feel so much better about me after.
So Happy Wednesday folks..

"..Gonna Be Me, You and the Dance Floor.."

In honor of Ally Mcbeal watching and Music Memoirs normal "sum up your weekend in ten songs-Monday" I will say this: I am working on a Halloween party playlist, since I am, in fact, having a Halloween party. While setting up the songs I started a little "Penny Theme Songs" playlist. Everyone has that one song that just sums them up. Or maybe a few of them. I always have a song in my head and/or am singing. Often times I dance to the tunes in my head..always a riot.
These leads me to the subject of Theme Songs. Is there any song that makes you feel better instantly? It doesn't necessarily have to even be a major pop song with an infectious beat. Just a song that sums you up so amazingly and can raise your spirits. Or when you find yourself nervous, scared, anxious, sad you sing this and it all melts away? Well I have a few songs that are in constant rotation in my mind and bring a smile at any situation.

Some are subject to change but the tracks below are a constant. Here's my playlist. What is yours?

1.The Middle-Jimmy Eat World

2. Tell Him-The Exciters

3. Here It Goes-Jimmy Eat World

4. There Goes My Heart Again-Holly Dunn

5. So Far, So Great-Demi Levato

6. Tune Out-The Format

7. El Scorcho-Weezer

8. Troublemaker-Weezer

9. Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows-Leslie Gore

"...Bet On Love and Let It Ride.."

Therefore I have to double post.
