Music Memoirs

Todays Five on Friday over at Music Memoirs is:

Top 5 songs that are mood lifters

Okay, so don't laugh at mine. They are slightly rando and they do change as time goes on.

Currrently, my list would be as follows:

The Middle-Jimmy Eat World (this one never changes)
So Far, So Great-Demi Lovato
Here It Goes-Jimmy Eat World
You Make My Dreams Come True-Hall and Oates
A Decade Under the Influence-Taking Back Sunday

I don't know exactly why, but "Annie Get Your Gun" by Squeeze is my happy song. It's impossible for me to feel bad when I hear it.

A few others:

"Disco 2000," Pulp (Even though it's kind of a sad/bittersweet tale, the beat is awesome and the oooh-oooh-oooh-oooohs at the end are fantastic.)

"U," Pearl Jam (Probably their happiest song ever. And I like to pretend it's about ME.)

"Kiss," Prince (Singing in falsetto immediately makes me feel happy.)

"Red Dragon Tattoo," Fountains of Wayne (One of the most perfect pop songs ever written.)

"Don't Go Breaking My Heart," Elton John & Kiki Dee (My favorite song from childhood.)

"Don't Stop Believin'," Journey (You know who doesn't love this song? Communists.)

I love the Demi song. I admit I'm addicted to Disney shows.

Oh WOW. You Make My Dreams Come True...Hoo-Ooo-Hooo-oo-Oo-oo-Ooo-oo! You're right - that does bring a smile to my face :0)
