I was talking to a friend from Arizona <3 earlier about how you don't realize how much you use the internet until it's gone! So true. I wanted to play some guitar this weekend and realized that I couldn't look up any new tabs. I forgot I didn't have the internet. Good thing: I am a master at playing Better Than Ezra's At The Stars and Jimmy Eat World's The Middle. It's the only tabs I have on file. So, onward from there.
I feel like I have so much to say but I have forgotten it all. Since my cat has returned home from the vet I have been monitoring him like crazy. I am waiting for things to go back to "normal". Whatever that is. Plus, with the new WW thing I have going on I get crazy about that. I feel like as a person, I can only have one thing to obsess about at a time. ha ha. I have reached my limit.
Tonight I have cake class. I am not feeling it at all. It's going to be jam packed with information because the teacher missed last week and we had some run over from last lesson. I get frustrated with my class mates. They are never prepared and it slows us down.
In other news: Anyone like the Killers? They have this new song out I am in love, love, love with. It's called Dustland Fairy Tale. Check it out. Brandon has a way with lyrics.
A dustland fairytale beginning
Just another white trash county kiss
In '61, long brown hair and foolish eyes
He looked just like you'd want him to
Some kind of slick chrome American prince
A blue jean serenade, and moon river, what you do to me
I don't believe you
Saw Cinderella in a party dress
But she was looking for a nightgown
I saw the Devil wrapping up his hands
He's getting ready for the showdown
I saw the minute that I turned away
I got my money on a palm tonight
Change came in disguise of revelation, set his soul on fire
She says she always knew he'd come around
And the decades disappear like sinking ships
But we persevere, God gives us hope
But we still fear what we don't know
The mind is poison
Castles in the sky sit stranded, vandalized
A drawbridge is closin'
to the valley of the great divide
Out where the dreams are high
Out where the wind don't blow
Out here, the good girls die
And the sky won't snow
Out here, the bird don't sing
Out here, the field don't grow
Out here, the bell don't toll
Now Cinderella, don't you go to sleep
It's such a bitter form of refuge
Oh don't you know, the kingdom's under siege
And everybody needs you?
Is there still magic in the midnight sun
Or did you leave it back in '61?
In the cadence of a young man's eyes
I wouldn't dream so high
